Come and See What the Father Is Doing

The Continuing Story of CrossLife Ministries

One Source. One Life. One message. Many expressions.

For more than 26 years, CrossLife Ministries has had the privilege of participating in something we did not originate and could never produce—the Life of Christ being expressed in ordinary people facing the realities of life.

The ministry has taken many forms: counseling, teaching, writing, books, video, social media, personal conversations, and resources shared with people around the world.

But the Source has never changed.

The Father initiates. Grace supplies. Faith receives. We participate. Christ is expressed. And the Father is glorified.

That is the continuing story of CrossLife.

And we invite you to come and see what the Father is doing.

It Began Quietly—One Life at a Time

For much of CrossLife’s history, the ministry happened where almost no one could see it.

Behind a counseling-room door.

One individual. One couple. One family. One conversation at a time.

People have come carrying anxiety, rejection, anger, addiction, grief, marital conflict, broken relationships, questions about identity, and circumstances they never imagined they would face.

Some marriages that appeared near their end have been restored.

Other circumstances have not changed in the ways people desperately hoped they would. Some relationships could not or should not continue. Some losses could not be reversed. Some difficulties had to be walked through rather than taken away.

CrossLife has never possessed the power to fix a life.

But we have had the privilege of witnessing what the Father does as people encounter truth and discover Christ as their Life.

The deepest question is not always, “How can I get this problem resolved?”

Sometimes it becomes:

“Father, how do You desire to express the Life of Christ in me right here?”

The circumstances may or may not immediately change.

But we are discovering that we were never intended to face them from ourselves as our own source.

“I am the vine, ye are the branches… for without me ye can do nothing.” — John 15:5, KJV

That vine-branch relationship remains at the heart of CrossLife.

From the Counseling Room to the World

In 2018, another expression of the ministry began to emerge.

The truths being shared across a counseling desk could now reach people who might never walk through the doors of CrossLife.

Life As God Intended began on YouTube.

Today, the channel includes more than 1,500 videos, has more than 73,000 subscribers, and has received more than 1.7 million views.

Those numbers help describe the reach.

But numbers cannot measure ministry.

Behind every view is a person.

Someone may be sitting alone in a living room.

Someone may be listening while driving to work.

Someone may be awake in the middle of the night.

Someone may be struggling with a marriage, addiction, grief, fear, rejection, or a lifetime of trying to become acceptable to God.

Someone may be asking a question they have never told another person they were asking.

Technology has allowed the counseling-room message to cross geographical boundaries in seconds.

But the message remains the same:

The Christian life is not ultimately our attempt to live for Christ. It is Christ Himself living His Life in and through us as we participate by faith.

A Body of Truth Made Available

Over the years, decades of counseling, studying Scripture, teaching, and learning to live from Christ as Life gradually became a larger written body of work.

On July 27, 2025, that work was published as the three-volume Life As God Intended series:

Volume 1 — Free to Be in Christ

Volume 2 — Free to Relate in Christ

Volume 3 — Free to Live in Christ

Together they contain 86 chapters and approximately 190,000 words of biblical teaching and practical discipleship centered upon our identity, relationships, and daily living from Christ as our Life.

The books are available in paperback, Kindle, and audiobook formats.

But we did not want the availability of these truths to depend upon someone’s ability or willingness to purchase a book.

For that reason, the audiobook teaching has also been progressively made available, chapter by chapter, through playlists on the Life As God Intended YouTube channel—freely accessible to anyone who desires to listen.

Because truth was never given to us merely to possess.

It was given to be shared.

Daily Discipleship in the Middle of Ordinary Life

On October 14, 2025, another expression began.

What started as daily devotional writing has grown into an ongoing discipleship ministry.

Each morning, a new devotional explores truths connected with the chapters of Free to Be in Christ—not simply brief inspirational thoughts, but substantive reflections designed to help people recognize how the indwelling Christ relates to the realities they are facing.

Some readers have described them as something like a counseling session arriving in their feed each morning.

Those writings are now approaching the completion of all 31 chapters of Free to Be in Christ and are being gathered into another developing body of work, Cathedral Windows.

Other resources are also emerging from the larger Life As God Intended material: writings concerning prayer and hearing the Father, marriage and relationships, grief and loss, and other areas where people need more than principles—they need to discover the sufficiency of Christ Himself.

We do not know every form these resources will eventually take.

Nor do we need to.

Guidance follows Presence.

Our desire is simply to remain available to the Father for whatever He initiates next.

Meeting People Where They Already Are

The message now travels through several social-media platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.

Videos are shared daily.

Short-form teachings provide thousands of small points of contact.

Daily devotionals are shared through two Facebook pages and often into 30–35 additional groups, currently generating approximately 30,000 views each month.

But again, the numbers are not the story.

The story is the person.

Someone scrolling through a feed encounters a sentence that causes them to stop.

Someone shares a devotional with a hurting friend.

Someone hears a short video about identity in Christ at precisely the moment they have been questioning who they are.

Someone discovers a longer teaching and begins listening.

And sometimes someone reaches out.

Which brings us to another part of CrossLife that statistics cannot adequately describe.

The Ministry Behind the Ministry

CrossLife is not primarily interested in broadcasting content.

We are interested in people.

Comments receive responses.

Questions are answered.

Emails are read.

Texts are returned.

Phone calls become conversations.

Private messages sometimes become opportunities to listen to someone whose heart is hurting.

A public devotional may become a private conversation.

A YouTube video may lead someone to ask a question they have carried for years.

A brief interaction may become an opportunity to point someone away from self-effort and toward Christ as Life.

This takes time.

But people are not interruptions to the ministry.

People are the ministry.

We do not love people in order to build a ministry.

We do not serve people in order to produce a response.

We desire to remain available to the Father so that His others-oriented love may find expression through us—with no expectation of anything in return.

The Ministry You May Never See

Some of the most significant things the Father does through CrossLife will never appear on this website.

They cannot.

They belong to the sacred privacy of people who have entrusted us with their stories.

A marriage at the breaking point.

Someone trapped in an addictive pattern.

A grieving husband, wife, parent, or child.

Someone carrying wounds from years ago.

A person exhausted from trying to become acceptable to God.

Someone who has spent a lifetime attempting to live the Christian life from personal determination and is discovering for the first time:

“Christ is my Life.”

We cannot tell you their names.

We cannot tell you all their stories.

But the Father knows every one of them.

Some circumstances change dramatically.

Others do not.

Our confidence is not that every problem will disappear.

Our confidence is that Christ is sufficient in the middle of whatever we face because Christ Himself is our Life.

Freely We Have Received

CrossLife has never wanted someone’s financial circumstances to determine whether they can receive help.

Counseling has therefore operated on a suggested-donation basis rather than a required fee.

Some are able to give generously.

Others can give very little.

Some have been unable to give anything.

The ministry has continued to serve them.

That same heart explains why so much teaching is freely available online.

We do not give in order to receive something in return.

We desire to give because we ourselves have received.

And through more than 26 years of ministry, CrossLife has sought to trust the Father as its Source.

Sometimes we have known exactly where provision would come from.

Many times we have not.

But our responsibility has never been to manufacture His provision.

Our responsibility is availability.

The Father initiates.

We participate.

One Source. One Life. One Message. Many Expressions.

Counseling.

Teaching.

Writing.

Books.

Daily devotionals.

Long-form broadcasts.

Short videos.

Social media.

Personal conversations.

Resources still being developed.

At first glance, these may appear to be many different ministries.

We don’t see them that way.

They are many expressions of one Life.

The counseling room did not become less important as the digital ministry grew.

The walls simply came down.

Truth once shared primarily across a counseling desk can now reach someone thousands of miles away.

A lesson learned through years of counseling may become a chapter.

A chapter may become a devotional.

A devotional may become a video.

A video may reach someone who sends a message.

That message may become a conversation.

And once again, ministry becomes personal.

The forms change.

The Source does not.

“For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” — Philippians 2:13, KJV

Participating With CrossLife

CrossLife exists to participate in what the Father is doing in the lives of people—through counseling, teaching, writing, and media.

From its beginning, CrossLife has trusted the Father as its Source. Our desire is simply to remain available to Him and to faithfully participate in whatever He initiates.

For those who desire to participate in the continuing work of the Father through CrossLife, an opportunity for financial participation is also available. If the Father leads you to participate with Him in this way, you may do so here.

“Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit…” — John 15:8, KJV

The fruit does not glorify the branch.

The fruit glorifies the Father.
